When You Choose House of Joy & Light

A Clear Process

Your booking secures your date with a 50% deposit. You’ll receive a prep guide, and reminders so you always know what comes next.

A Personalized Session

We’ll connect beforehand to talk through your vision, locations, and outfits, ensuring your images reflect your story.

A Relaxed Experience

Sessions are paced to keep things comfortable, with time for outfit changes and natural moments.

A Timely Gallery

You’ll receive your edited images in a private online gallery within about three weeks, with options to order prints, albums, and wall art.

From booking to gallery delivery, we want you to feel confident every step of the way. These answers will help you know exactly what to expect.

What happens after I book?

Once your 50% non-refundable deposit is paid, your date is officially reserved. You’ll receive a confirmation email with next steps, a prep guide, and details about your session. We’ll also meet for a Zoom consult to talk through your vision.

When is my balance due?

For all packages (except the Heirloom), the remaining 50% is due 7 days before your session. You’ll receive an automated invoice with a secure pay link. For the Heirloom Package, payment is 50% at booking and 25% before each session date (Fall + Spring).

What happens if the weather is bad?

If weather isn’t cooperating, we’ll reschedule at no extra cost to you. Your comfort and the quality of your portraits matter most.

How long will my session last?

Session times vary by the package you choose. Petite sessions run about 20 minutes, while Luxe sessions can last up to 2 hours. Each session description includes details about time, outfits, and images.

When will I receive my images?

Final galleries are delivered in about 3 weeks. Rush delivery (3–5 days) is available as an add-on. You’ll receive the number of images included in your chosen package.

Can I order prints or albums?

Yes! Your online gallery includes options for professional-quality prints, albums, and wall art. It’s all handled seamlessly through Pic-Time.
