How to Find Value in the Heart of Everything

September 26, 2017

What’s valuable to me, might not be as valuable to you. What’s valuable to you, might not be as valuable to your best friend. What’s great about being human though is the ability to place value individually. On the flip side, what’s tough about being human is everyone else’s desire to impose their values onto you.

In case you haven’t noticed, the #Go52 Theme of the Week is Valuable.

We’re completing a refresher course on what’s valuable to us at LaunchCrate. By revisiting our values (education, empowerment, and experience) it allows us to stay focused on the core reason for our work, tailoring what we share with you. Similarly, identifying what’s valuable to us individually grants us the same freedom to refocus our words and actions in the direction that aligns with our core.

You remember the fable about the goose that laid the golden eggs? Which would you prefer to have; the egg or the goose?  The option you select is likely linked to the one you deem to be more valuable based on you core desires. Does that mean whoever selected the other option was wrong or does it simply mean they have different values?

If our values align with our core, and our core keeps us stable, wouldn’t it be worth the effort to find a system to regularly activate it? Maybe that system of exercise would allow us to pull from a place of love instead of a place of disproval.

The golden egg or the goose that laid it, the choice is irrelevant. What’s more important is identifying what you value at your core; the first step in identifying your exercise regimen. That guides you to the heart of everything.

What's valuable to you? Illustrate it. Tag it. Share it. #Go52
