Last week we got caught up on two week's worth of posts. The themes were rightly aligned with life yet again and this week is no different. The world has had its eyes narrowed in on a team full of admirable humans, humaning.
“This is the mark of a really admirable man: steadfastness in the face of trouble.” Ludwig van Beethoven
The very definition of this week's #Go52 theme, admirable, perfectly describes the team of rescuers who capped a daring rescue mission in the treacherous confines of a flooded cave in northern Thailand.
worthy of admiration; inspiring approval, reverence, or affection
The eyes of the world have been on Mae Sai, Thailand, for the last few days. For some of us, we've been watching closely since news broke of the 12 missing boys and their soccer coach. For 18 days their families, friends, and strangers near and far worked to find and then rescue the "Wild Boars," who were ferocious in their fight to survive in spite of their dwindling oxygen supply and situation.
As of today, all 13 have been rescued from the cave by a team comprised of Thai Navy SEALs, medics, officials, and other strategic personnel. Even the medic and three Thai Navy SEAL divers who stayed with the trapped boys after they were found, and then stayed behind after the last of the team was rescued have left the flooded cave. It took strong resolve, steadfast planning and execution, and tremendous levels of communication, patience, and exacting details to successfully execute such an evacuation. What joy, relief, and gratitude must be wafting in the air.

True steadfastness in the face of trouble.
Who in your life is admirable? Have you told them? There's no time like the present! Speak on it...
